Fitment AU Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Fitment handles account information, marketplace content, messages, uploaded media, diagnostics, and account deletion.
Information we collect
Fitment may collect account information such as your email address, name, username, profile details, and profile photo. We also collect the content you choose to create or upload in the app, including listings, listing photos, saved vehicles, saved listings, messages, and reports submitted through the marketplace.
How we use information
We use account and marketplace information to operate Fitment, authenticate users, display seller and listing information, support direct buyer and seller messaging, maintain saved vehicles and saved listings, moderate marketplace safety issues, and respond to support requests.
Photos, listings, and profile content
If you upload profile photos, listing photos, or listing details, that content may be stored and displayed inside the Fitment marketplace where relevant to marketplace activity. Seller-facing profile information and listing content may be visible to other users as part of the normal operation of the app.
Messages
Messages sent through Fitment are stored to enable communication between buyers and sellers and to maintain the integrity and safety of marketplace activity.
Analytics and crash information
Fitment may collect limited analytics, diagnostics, and crash information needed to monitor app reliability, investigate failures, improve performance, and protect the marketplace from misuse or abuse.
How data is protected
Fitment uses secure transmission and reasonable technical measures to protect user data in transit and at rest. Some information is processed by infrastructure and hosting providers used to operate the app.
Account deletion
Users can request account deletion by contacting support@fitment.com.au, or delete their account in the app under Profile > Settings > Delete Account once signed in. Account data will be deleted or anonymised where required for marketplace safety and legal record keeping. Public deletion information is also available at /account-deletion and through the Fitment deletion endpoint.
